We keep our classes moving with age appropriateness and positive motivation! Our students truly learn more than a simple recital routine. An extremely qualified staff of professional performing artists and instructors share their experience and knowledge through a curriculum that includes technique, advancement and terminology in every subject. Our students are made aware of proper body placement and are taught safe manners to execute steps. Villa West classes are challenging to the students mind and body in a loving, supportive and rewarding atmosphere. Our students gain personal respect and achievement that makes their personality shine!
Class sizes at Villa West are small to ensure each student receives personal quality instruction. We get to know each student and adapt our instruction to meet their individual needs.
Our Teaching Philosophy
Is centered on instilling a passion for performance art while building self-esteem and confidence in our students. Our reputation for building a solid technical foundation in a fun, rewarding class setting is one of the primary reasons for our success!
In early 2011, Miss Jenny was awarded membership and certification with the St. Louis Dance Teachers Association, Chapter 21, of Dance Masters of America. Dance Masters of America is an international organization of certified dancing educators which has been certifying and setting the standards in dance education since 1884.
DMA provides syllabi that are being utilized by universities, colleges, and dance institutions throughout the world. Miss. Jenny's involvement with the organization will continue improvement of local and national dance education standards via a unified forum of dance educators, and will also offer benefits for her students in the means of regional workshops, educational seminars and forums as well as performance opportunities for students. In addition, DMA National Organization offers more than $200,000.00 in educational and monetary scholarships annually to its members and their students. DMA offers the most extensive variety of dance education effecting today's dance professionals. Some disciplines included are ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, liturgical, ethnic, pre-school, children's work, and acrobatics.
